Details of parking and getting there

ARRIVING AT THE VENUE

The full address of the venue is Basildon Sports & Leisure Club, Gardiners Way, Gardiners Lane South, Basildon, Essex SS14 3AP.  The venue has parking space for 200 cars with additional parking available on the roads surrounding the adjacent industrial estate.  Car parking is £2 per car including complimentary event programme.  Please follow the stewards’ directions on arrival. 

 

Note: Basildon Sports and Social Club is not to be confused with the Basildon Sporting Village.  From Basildon town centre, follow the signs for Festival Leisure Park along Cranes Farm Road passing the Sporting Village on your right.  Go straight over the next 3 roundabouts, passing Festival Leisure Park on your left at the second one, and then turn left at the traffic lights into Gardiners Lane South.  The venue will be on your left - see here for a map of the location and surrounding area.

 

REGISTRATION

All teams must be registered at the Registration Tent well in advance of the tournament start time.  Managers and coaches will need to attend a brief session prior to the start of their section:

  • AM session: U6, U8 and U10 Registration 9am, Manager’s meeting 9:15am
  • PM session: U7, U9 and U10 Registration 1:30pm, Manager’s meeting 1:45pm

 

IMPORTANT NOTICES

 

  • Surface – the tournament will be held on grass pitches

 

  • All players must wear appropriate footwear and shin pads

 

  • Team sheets – there is no requirement to lodge a team sheet at registration, but note that squad numbers are restricted as per the attached tournament rules

 

  • No spectator may enter the field of play and managers/coaches may only after seeking the referee’s permission

 

  • Please remember that all players, coaches and parents are representing their club

 

  • The referee’s decision is final and irreversible intimidation of our referees or use of foul/abusive language on or around the field of play may result in your team being removed from the tournament

 

PLEASE REMEMBER: The day is all about the boys’ and girls’ enjoyment of the game and allowing them to compete in a safe, friendly and fair environment.
